Artists can color the sky red because they know it's blue. Those of us who aren't artists must color things the way they really are or people might think we're stupid.

At the moment I seem to be drawn to the colour red in all areas of my life. Those of you who know me, will know that I never leave the house without my Christian Dior no 13 red lipstick, which after nearly 20 years of research is by still the perfect red. Then there are my lovely red shoes that I adore, I sit them on a chair stacked on top of all my books to gaze at lovingly, they are a true work of art. Inspiration infiltrates in many ways, so red is seeping into my work everywhere, into my paintings, stitching and cushions made of devilishly red silk.
