Spring's Song

When daisies pied, and violets blue,

  And lady-smocks all silver-white,
And cuckoo-buds of yellow hue
Do paint the meadows with delight,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men, for thus sings he:
      “Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo!” O word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear.

When shepherds pipe on oaten straws,
And merry larks are ploughmen’s clocks,
When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws,
And maidens bleach their summer smocks,
The cuckoo then, on every tree,
Mocks married men, for thus sings he:
      “Cuckoo!
Cuckoo, cuckoo!” O word of fear,

Song, from Act V, Scene 2 of Love’s Labors Lost by William Shakespeare (1598)

Spring's song is happening, it's started in my garden!
The frogs are busy, the muscari, crocus, paperwhites and violets have appeared as if by magic over night. It's all going on and makes me very happy.

nearly finished

The walls and floor are finished, the boring glossing done, now just to start adding all my things that I love back into my new space.

just needed white

Newly painted bedroom just needed white and my Great granf's crocheted blanket that he made when I was very little. It has travelled with me to every house I have lived in to university and back and I still love it as much as I did then!

Plans on hold, just stop and contemplate at what could be!
