Most of my gardening is done as an insomniac. As soon as the first birds start singing and the light begins to break I am out there weeding, planting and enjoying watching the light unfold to reveal a new day with all it has to bring. I love putting on my old gardening coat with my wellies a cup of coffee and seeing what has happened in the garden from yesterday. There are not many joys to insomnia, but the garden of an insomniac at first light is a joy.
