the button collector



I used to have a mouse in my studio who used to collect buttons. I often used to see him running away with a brightly coloured buttons. So this became my inspiration for my button collector cards. They are a collage of stitches, buttons and a little mouse print taken from an original stick and ink drawing that I did whilst one day the thief nonchalantly passed me by.
I would like to give you the opportunity to win 5 button collector cards that come in a hand - made box. All you have to do is guess how many buttons are in the button collector jar. The nearest guess wins. Leave your guess in my comment bit on my blog. Closing date 1st February.

    I will have to come back with my guess later as at the moment am too busy thinking about the lovely square one at the top of the pile... AND THAT mouse - cheeky! I'd LOVE to think he was taking them to another house where the person didn't have such lovely buttons but WHO KNOWS?! LOVELY CARDS BTW! ♥

    I think there are exactly 374 buttons.... ish.... roughly... there might be loads of tidgers at the bottom! Ooh fingers crossed! :)

    I love your mouse story - it reminds me of Mr Bojangles in Stephen King's 'The Green Mile' & what a lovely shape your mouse on the card is.
